Words Can Be Walls To Recovery

The Dundee Alcohol and Drug Partnership’s Resilient Communities working group is pleased to release a short animation which aims to raise awareness of the impact of language on people who experience substance use challenges.

This a direct response to the recommendations made in the Dundee Drug Commission report and in recognition of its underpinning message to respond to drug use with kindness, compassion and hope.

We challenge you to stop using labels and put people first.

The animation can be downloaded in various formats from www.dundeehealth.co.uk/stigma along with a range of useful resources which will continue to be added to.
