Need Emergency Contraception?
Condoms burst, pills get missed or we have unprotected sex and regret it later. Luckily, it’s possible to get emergency contraception that will work to stop pregnancy after you’ve had sex. Emergency contraception is most effective the sooner it is taken, within 5 days.
The free service is available from:
- Local sexual health clinics
- Your GP
- Most pharmacies (chemist shops)
- Some hospital accident and emergency departments
- Most minor injury units
