Websites for young people
The Lowdown is a new website and phone line aimed at young people in Scotland who are most at risk of poor health outcomes.
The Lowdown is a Young Scot / Scottish Government partnership. It is the outcome of extensive, in-depth consultation and research with those working in the youth health field, as well as young people themselves.
The service looks to address fundamental health inequalities and develop resilience among young people, by offering reliable and relevant information delivered in straightforward language, using cutting-edge interactive digital technology.
Youthhealthtalk.org is a website about young people’s real-life experiences of health and lifestyle. The website contains information about a range of different conditions that affect young people, including epilepsy and diabetes and there is a sexual health section which covers dating, relationships and sex.
